Dr. Kenneth Mayuga, director of the Cleveland Clinics’ new Space Health Center, invited Charles Doarn to give a lecture on the Foundation for International Space Medicine and participate in a panel discussion on the Human Spaceflight Sector Today and Tomorrow; both were done at the conclusion of the weeklong space medicine course.

The course, sponsored in part by the Cleveland Clinic and the International Space University, provided a unique opportunity to share knowledge with graduate students and medical students who have an interest in space medicine. My comments were based on my own personal experiences with NASA’s international efforts with telemedicine and the International Space Station’s Medical Operations framework, 1 in addition to my role as COO of SolaMed Solutions, LLC.
