On Wednesday, August 26, Dr. Michelle L. Hailey joined The American Center in Moscow’s “50 States” series to spotlight Maryland.
Each session in this year-long series brings an American expert to share what makes their home state unique, from local food and music to regional dialects, history, landmarks, and pop culture. Guiding us through the Free State this week is Dr. Hailey, an educator, business leader, and women’s empowerment advocate with 25+ years of cross-sector experience.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Southern New Jersey, Dr. Hailey earned her B.A. from Howard University, an M.B.A. from Schiller International University in Paris, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She currently serves as Global Affairs Director for SolaMed Solutions and is appointed as a Global Peace Ambassador to the United Nations. A French speaker and adjunct professor at The Chicago School’s D.C. campus, she lives by the philosophy “each one, reach one, and teach one” — a guiding light for her work in mentorship and global impact.
